Charity Fun Walk Held in Conjunction With World Heart Day

KUALA LUMPUR, 12 MAY, 2011 – A Charity Fun Walk for Women Heart Health Cause was held at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa here on Sunday in conjunction with the World Heart Day organised by the Cardiology Unit and the Heart and Lung Centre of the UKM Medical Centre with the cooperation of the Women’s Heart Health Organisation (WH2O).
About 300 participants took part in the walk which also include aerobics, jogging for 3 km and health talks.
The walk was flagged off by UKM Vice Chancellor Prof Tan Sri Datuk Wira Sharifah Hapsah Syed Hasan Shahabudin who is also President of the National Council of Women’s Organisation Malaysia (NCWO).
Chairman and CEO of the National Heart Institute (IJN), Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Robaayah Zambahari, Consultant Heart and Lung Surgeon, Asso Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mohd Ramzisham Abdul Rahman and Head of the UKMMC Cardiology Unit, Asso Prof Dr. Oteh Maskon attended the function.
